Reforming Students

Posted in Christ and Culture by sosipater on September 2, 2007

My experience tells me that there is a profound lack of good, solid, theologically reformed, biblically informed, information out there on youth ministry, unless they are saying just get rid of it.  I am sure there are several reasons for that.  I’m also sure I am just missing some things too.

Because of this situation, I am excited to point you to a new blog by my friend Nick called Reforming Students:  God Centered Student Ministry.  Some are probably thinking, is that even possible?  Well, join the conversation and try and figure it out!

  1. Thanks for the endorsement, brother!

    Russ,
Would you mind elaborating on what you think some of those reasons are?

Russ, I forgot to put the smiley face(more like a smirk) at the end of my comment so you would know in what spirit the question was in. I know many times on the blogosphere our intentions are misinterpreted because we don’t know in what manner they were truly said. That being said I would like a couple of those reasons when you get the chance.Thanks….Dax

    Dax,

No worries. I’m not sure if you’re asking why there is a lack of good reformed information on youth ministry or why some want to get rid of it altogether, IOW, see no redeeming features whatsoever in any kind of youth ministry. I think the answers would be related but different, depending on which one you’re asking about.
