One trip to statesboro in the Fall will confirm just about everything said in that article. I’ve got friends that earned degees from GSU that told me they were openly challenged in class by Homo Professors who gave them reports to do knowing they would not do it(read books that support the cause and worse) which led to failing the class. Thats what awaits young adults just stepping out in the world and most parents have their head in the sand. I have a real good fiend that is a paramedic and he tells me that drug and alcohol overdose is rampant at GSU(he picks them up all the time). The college campus today for the most part has gone to the Dogs.

    Russ,
One thing to keep in mind is that even if you have a youth group with solid teaching that is not enough. Of course, I know I’m preaching to the choir here, but any teaching kids get at church should just be reiteration of what they’re being taught at home. Christian parents have to get serious about raising their children, and stop blaming the church when their kids get in trouble saying there just aren’t enough “activities” for the kids. Riddlebarger made some great points. I like his reference to the “extreme” games that have become so popular with many church youth groups today. I find it hard to believe that most of these kids who run around acting like lunatics for a solid hour playing these games can calm down enough to focus on a deep scriptural teaching immediately afterwards. That’s just my opinion.(For the record-I’m not against having fun and playing games. I just think wisdom needs to be applied on when it is appropriate.)
